Christmas Break

Christmas has been a lot of fun. Kristin, Owen, and I have bounced around staying with family around Ogden. We have really had fun relaxing and not worrying about a whole lot. Here are some pics. Owen is sleeping better and starting to chunk up a little. And as you can see, even Parker can't keep up with all the fun.

More Pictures of the Boy

Today I put Owen in the swing on the floor, then took the dog outside to go potty. When I came back in, this is what I found. He had slid almost all the way out. And he was just sitting there, patiently waiting for me to come back inside and fix him. Oh, and it was a travel swing, so he wasn't in any danger.

I can't stop taking pictures, he's just a sweet little baby. I should start taking more pictures of the rest of the family too, but let's face it, people come to our blog to see the babe.

Painting

So our friends, Landon and Heather, live in our apartment complex. They told us we can paint our apartments as much as we want. Kristin got really excited and now we have an orange kitchen. The color was a bit of a shock to use but now it has grown on us. I imagine it is a southwestern restaurant. Oh yes, and the uneven strokes, crooked lines, and unsightly application of paint adds character. We will be painting Owen's room blue. And while we are at it we should paint the inside of Parker's kennel so he doesn't get jealous.

New Arrival

Well, here he is. Little Owen Johnson was born Nov. 7. He is a sweet little boy. He was a teeny little guy only weighing 5 lbs 9 ounces. Blake plans on beefing him up so they can wrestle. We love having him at home and he brings a really pure spirit to our family. It is amazing to be parents. Kristin is very much sleep deprived but she is very happy.
Because he was born in Oregon we tell people he is our little "Organic Boy". We hope you enjoy all these pictures of him. If you ever want to see more of him we will post a video soon and put more pictures up. Love you all.

Here is Parker's new trick. It took us quite a while to teach this one but he does it really well now. It really gets funny when I get him to do it on the kitchen floor because he can't grip enough to roll. He looks like a fish flopping around he floor.

Welcome

Hey everybody. The rain is starting to fall in Oregon. It has been consistently overcast and rainy for days. Time to bite the bullet. It feels nice to have cool weather though. Kristin and I are counting down the days until our little man comes. I can really feel him kick and roll. He appears to have attitude. We are still leaning towards the name Owen. Hopefully everything goes well.
Parker is working on being house broken. The trick is to keep him exhausted. Kristin takes him to a dog park near the stadium. He plays with another puggle named Duke. They have a lot of fun, which is good because then he will sleep. We took him to the tailgater at the Oregon/Cal game. Everyone wanted to pick him up and play with him. (We should have gotten a picture of Parker with the cheerleaders or mascot. That would be classy.)
