I still can't believe it myself, but I actually started and finished a DIY project in the SAME DAY! Maybe that's not a big deal for some of you, but it is for me. I would be too embarrassed to tell you how many different projects I have that are half way done. Some of them sit for months...maybe a year before they get finished or finally thrown out.
Anyway, here is my creation. I'm not a huge fan of natural wood and my knife block has always kind of bugged me, so I found a solution for the problem on
this blog, and felt like I needed to copy it.
Before

After

What do you think? Better? I think so.
(Except now my knives look old and faded.)
Here is what I used: 2 flat black coats and 1 light misting of the oil rubbed bronze color.
(Plus wood filler for the stamp on the front.)

I love it!! Still working on my table.
Looks GREAT!
It looks great! I'm impressed you got it done in one day, I think that's a hard feat sometimes with kids.
As always, very impressive! It looks great!
That really looks nice. mom j
It turned out beautifully. Don't worry about 1/2 finished projects... You would laugh if you saw all the piles of "work in progress" stuff going on. I generally never finish a project in a day. It may look like it on my blog, but most of the time they have drug on for weeks!
I love your knfe block. It seriously makes your counter look fab!!
